| Looking south from Leeds Road along the former LC&S roadbed. The railroad engineers did an incredible job of building what appears to be a relatively mild grade up this valley along the creek. What doesn't show in these pictures are the significant ridges (for a railroad) on each side of the Little Elk Creek. There's those cracks in the pavement again, which look a lot like signs of a former railroad crossing here. |
