New GEVO units framed by the chainlink fencing on the Bladen Street (Maryland Route 267) overpass on December 30, 2007 at 10:12 a.m. I mean, hey, for a "snap a picture, turn around, check traffic in both directions, run to the other side of the bridge to take another shot in a desperate attempt to make sure I got the unit number of the second locomotive in case it didn't show in my other snapshots" picture, this turned out well-centered in the chain link, not blocked by a catenary pole, and kinda cool! |

New consecutively-numbered Norfolk Southern GEVO units running elephant style under the Old Elk Neck Road overpass on the Northeast Corridor on December 30, 2007 at 10:26 a.m. A close look will show that GE has painted from the walkways down, including the reflective striping and yellow corner handrails for safety. The builder didn't try to be too neat where it stopped painting, as you can see the overspray of black on the walkways and stanchions. |
